Join The Room Debate!

19 Jul

Happy Friday everyone! I hope this light and airy room captures the mood of the moment for you and has plenty of elements to discuss for The Room Debate today.

Everyone’s welcome to join in of course. If it’s your first time, simply take a good look at the photo below then head to the comments with your answers to these two questions:

One thing I like most about this room is…

One thing I like least about this room is…

white vintage living room

There are plenty of things to love about this room for me… but a couple of things that irritate me too! Looking forward to hearing what you think…

Have a lovely weekend – I’m off to Art in Action in Oxford and really looking forward to it.

I love the light airy feel I get from this room. I don’t like the high bookshelf-I’d never be able to reach my precious books!

The thing I love most about this room is that the styling feels effortless and lived in, rather than everything having a “place” and not being able to touch anything

Love that the room has style without being precious. Light, airy, lived in, all good.
Loathe the display of the dress on door. Put it away. :-)

Wow! This room appealed to me straight away; I love the feel of this room – the fresh light walls together with the original features, but most of all the fact that it looks lived in and achievable in any home. However, in practise I think it would be quite a cold room to live in with the high ceilings, old windows and radiator – the leather sofa looks the part, but I would prefer a fabric sofa to curl up on!

It’s got a good feel. Love the tall book shelves

Love the light and original features. Not a fan of the pouffe (too small for the dramatic original features) don’t like the coffee table, particularly the wheels….grubby radiator
Mrs bouquet !!! X I hope the move went well x

I love the chesterfield sofa, the windows, and the ceiling.
I’m not so sure about the coffee table. It’s out of scale with the sofa.

one thing I love is the natural elements of light and wood with the warm, comforting textures in the leather, fur, and rug. (k, that was more than one…) One thing I don’t like would be the a lack of intimacy; a little too open for a sitting room.

I could be very happy in this room!

I love the architectural features – large windows & door, detailed cornice. Would have liked some colour on the walls – not a great fan of totally white rooms.
