Join The Room Debate!

Morning all – welcome to The Room Debate!

I have a rather vintage candidate for your delectation today – judging by the single bed I’m guessing this is a child’s room or maybe a guest room. I’ll leave that for you to decide…

As always, it’s easy to get involved. Just have a good look at the room photo below and leave a comment with your answers to these two questions:

One thing I like most about this room is…

One thing I like least about this room is…

vintage bedroom ideas{via Down and Out Chic}

I guess the question is, would you have liked this to be your bedroom growing up, or would you like to stay in it while visiting a friend?

Looking forward to hearing what you think! Have a lovely weekend.

DN xx

I´m totally very late, but I looove this room. The only thing that looks a bit odd is the blue pillow on the bed for some reason. Otherwise, for me, pretty much perfection.

You know I’m a secret massive hippy, so obviously I love this room. The only thing I don’t like is how gold the mirror is, and also that the – beautiful – bed looks like it wouldn’t take my weight. x

Its not quite ‘cozy’ enough for me yet inviting at the same time. I agree that the bed might collapse in on its self at any time but lovely all the same. Thank you for sharing this one.

What I like is all the little nooks and crannies. What I don’t like is my guest’s ass landing on the floor in the middle of the night when that bed gives up the ghost!

I really dont think that bed is structurally sound! It looks like it is about to pancake right on in on itself! I also dont like the old crusty religious ephemera hanging all over the place… Love the light!!

Love the wood walls (painted white). Don’t love the layout of the room. The furniture placement is awkward to me. But, if I were just a kid, I’d probably love it. What do those things matter when you have the whole of outside calling your name.

Oooh, I love this room! I would have loved it when growing up, but perhaps even more so now…

I like: everything about the bed, from the rickety-looking headboard and footboard, to the patchwork quilt.

I like least: (hmmm, this is a tough one, because I like pretty much everything, but I’m going to have to settle on) the curtain rail. Ha, ha. It looks a bit orange and pine-like for the rest of the room.

‘Needed’ (sorry, don’t need them anymore !)

I wouldn’t have appreciated that room as a child. I need my David Cassidy/David Essex posters & my albums & record player etc. I think that room is beautiful but a tiny bit austere. The old iron bed looks beautiful but looks on the brink of collapse. I love the fireplace.
