Welcome all! I thought this fresh and springlike bedroom would be a good choice for today’s Room Debate – what do we think of this one?
As always, it’s easy to take part. Just have a good look at the room photo below and leave a comment with your answers to these two questions:
One thing I like most about this room is…
One thing I like least about this room is…
{via Desire to Inspire}
As usual, I’ll start things off in the comments below – looking forward to meeting you there!
Have a great weekend!
Ps: in case you’d like to add your thoughts to any of the previous Room Debate discussions, you’ll find the archive here.
What Lynne said, exactly!
I like the BIG mirror and the various cushions on the bed; Not keen on that lamp- totally out of character with the rest of it….and couldn’t be doing with the dreams those bugs might prompt!!! Granny liked the lightness of the room, but not really her cup of tea, with a particular aversion to the dead butterflies-“poor things”.
Tee hee, thanks for your comments! I’m sure the bugs died of – er – natural causes…
My favorite is the oversized mirror…my least fav..I am torn between the netting and the lamp..but if I have to pick one I will choose the lamp; too small and industrial for the overall look of the room.
You know, the weird thing is that when I first look at this room, I quite like it but on closer inspection I don’t think I like any of it. I don’t like the net thing, I don’t like the empty frames (in this case), I don’t like the mirror or the mannequin, or the green quilt! But I agree, I like the wedding blanket on the floor. Those things are so expensive though!
I’m always surprised at some of the things other people notice in the Room Debate posts. Even though I spend quite a lot of time choosing the rooms it’s amazing that there are elements people comment on that I didn’t even know were there. Shows how much we miss most of the time!
The thing I like most is the big mirror. Very cool.
The thing I like least are the empty frames. That can work but not here.
Yes, I agree about the empty frames. It looks a bit half-hearted – more is definitely more in this case!
I’m really loving the antiqued gold tones in the frames — they seem to ground and add seriousness to the room. Also love that Moroccan wedding blanket (?) that I thought was just a rug.
There’s nothing I particularly dislike in this picture, except for maybe the green color of the bedspread.
I am completely fixated on Moroccan (or Berber) wedding blankets at the moment. If you like them too you might enjoy the lovely apartment in this post: https://decoratorsnotebook.wordpress.com/2011/10/06/daydreams-of-a-single-girl/
One thing I like most about this room is… Subtle muted tones
One thing I like least about this room is… Bug in a box
Ahh, bugs in decor… always a divisive subject at Decorator’s Notebook! Sometimes I think it’s ok but I entirely agree that in the bedroom insects like this would give me the creeps.
Especially the ones in this room – they’re ENORMOUS!!!
Sorry to sound like a broken record, but my favourite thing is (predictably) that Moroccan wedding blanket. Shame to have such a lovely thing on the floor though. I’d have it as a bedspread.
My least favourite thing is the mannequin. I’ve never seen the appeal of these and I always think they look a bit twee.
Over to you!
